2 HIGH VALUE DRUG PERSONALITIES NABBED IN A BUY-BUST OPERATION IN BENGUET
CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – (June 16m 2021) – Two (2) High Value Drug Personalities are now facing charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) after being arrested by joint forces of Benguet police, RID COR, and PDEA CAR, in a buy-bust operation conducted in Sitio Kadmangan, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet in the evening of June 15, 2021.
Citing the reports from Benguet PPO, PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, identified the arrested suspects as Alma Lazarte Devilles, 45, along with her accomplice Teofilo Bautista Cariño a.k.a. Loreto, 50, both listed as High Value Individuals.
Accordingly, the suspects were arrested after suspect Devilles sold two (2) sachets of suspected shabu weighing 4.87 grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 33,116.00 to an undercover operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
In the course of their arrest, another three (3) sachets of suspected shabu weighing 3.87 grams with SDP of Php 26,316.00 was seized from the possession of suspect Cariño.
Other confiscated items from suspect Devilles were the buy-bust money, a touchscreen cellphone, and three (3) lighters while from suspect Cariño, three (3) lighters, a gillete blade, a pair of stainless scissors, seven (7) foils, two (2) earings, a receipt and a medical certificate.
Further, the markings and inventory of all seized pieces of evidence were accomplished onsite in the presence of Brgy Captain Oliver K Paus, Brgy Kagawad Mely C Saingan, and media representative, Mr. Kerby Rillera, as witnesses.
The arrested suspects and all confiscated items were brought to Tuba Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. (PROCOR-PIO)
