10th placers in licensure exam for teachers congratulated

City officials recently congratulated and commended Nena Louise Lidua Agustin and Sofia Kristianne de Jesus, graduates of the course Bachelor of Science in Education of the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) of the Catholic-run Saint Louis University (SLU), for ranking tenth place in the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers.

In a resolution, local legislators stated that Agustin and de Jesus’s achievement in the said examination is a demonstration of SLU-STELA’s mission et excellentia likewise, made the entire Louisian community in the city proud.

Earlier, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last May 19, 2023 announced that 24,819 elementary teachers out of 60,896 examinees and 48,005 secondary teachers out of 102,272 examinees successfully passed the coveted Licensure Examination for Professional teachers given last March 19, 2023 in various testing centers in the country.

The two Louisian mentors made it in the top 10 out of the top performing examinees, ranking 10th in the licensure examination with a rating of 91 percent.
