The Police Regional Office – Cordillera led the 2023 National Day of Remembrance for the heroism of the 44 Special Action Force killed in a counterterrorism operation in Mamasapano, Maguindanao on the fateful day of January 25, 2015.
Families of the gallant SAF troopers, Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, PNP Area Police Command – North Luzon Deputy Commander PMGen. Oliver Enmodias and PRO-Cor Regional Director PBGen. Mafelino Bazar gather today in a commemoration program held at the Manor in Camp John Hay.
It could be remembered that 14 of the 44 SAF troopers were from the Cordillera Administrative Region.
