BAGUIO CITY – (June 18, 2021) – The City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) is reviving its regreening program as part of the celebration of Saleng or Tree Festival in the city.
CEPMO Officer Rhenan Diwas said tree planting activities had been scheduled from June 25 to September for individuals, families, groups and organizations to participate in.
“The essence of celebrating the Tree Festival Season is for us to participate in the regreening of our city thus we call individuals, families, groups, organizations and others to join us in our tree planting activities,” Diwas said.

Diwas said while the program was on hiatus because of the pandemic, CEPMO has propagated thousands of tree seedlings to be planted throughout the duration of the Tree Festival Season.
“We target to plant 10,000 trees this season,” Diwas said.
The CEPMO lined up Tree Festival activities highlighted by the tree planting activities.
On Sunday, activities will be the unveiling of the Tree of Life at the top of Session Road to be followed by the Tree Cart parade. – Aileen P. Refuerzo
