TESDA-CAR turned-over 12,500 facemasks to DOH-CAR

LOAKAN-The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-Cordillera Administrative Region (TESDA-CAR) turned-over 12,500 washable and reusable facemasks to the Department of Health-Cordillera Administrative Region received by RD Ruby S. Constantino of DOH-CAR on January 21, 2021.

These are produced by the scholars of dress-making and tailoring programs from the various TESDA Technical Vocational Institutions in the Cordillera.

It can be recalled that TESDA-CAR turned-over a total of 6,500 face masks on December 16, 2020, that were distributed to the front liners, health-workers, and the public.

The production of face masks is under the directive of President Rodrigo R.  Duterte under Memorandum No. 49 directing all concerned government agencies to coordinate and pool their resources and efforts into the production and distribution of face masks.

“The produced facemasks followed the specifications of the Central Office and DOH. We commit to helping the public against our battle of COVID-19 through our support in producing washable facemasks for the front liners, health-workers, police officers at checkpoints, local government units, and residents of the Cordillera,” said RD Dante J. Navarro.

DOH-CAR RD Constantino also thanked TESDA for its continuous support in fighting against the COVID-19. She said that the donated face masks will be distributed in the region especially in high-risk communities.  ###
