TAXI DRIVER FOUND DEAD INSIDE CAB.

A 62-year-old taxi driver was found lifeless inside the taxi unit he was driving while parked at the parking lane along Shuntog St. near City Hall and Rizal Park early morning last July 31, 2025.

In a report, the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) under PCol Ruel Tagel stated that the driver was unresponsive when a security officer conducting a routine check of the City Hall perimeter knocked on the door of the front passenger side, where the man was lying down and appeared to be asleep.

The guard immediately contacted the Baguio City Emergency Medical Service personnel, who declared the man dead at 6:41 a.m.

Police said the driver was a resident of Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet.

His wife told investigators that her husband had suffered a mild stroke in 2021 and had been taking medication for high blood pressure since then. – APR📸Neil Ongchangco
