Street Level Individual busted in Baguio City

The intensified effort of the Police Regional Office Cordillera to fight illegal drugs resulted in the arrest of a street level individual (SLI) in a buy-bust operation conducted at AZCKO Barangay, Baguio City on August 23, 2021.

Based on reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director, the arrested suspect was identified as Xian Naulgan Bangcawayan (SLI), 28 years old, single, and a resident of Pinsao, Baguio City.

Bangcawayan was arrested by joint operatives of BCPO, RIU-14, PDEG, and RID-PROCOR after he sold to a cop acting as poseur buyer a sachet of suspected “shabu” weighing more or less one (1) gram with a market value amounting to Php 2,500.00.

In the course of his arrest, seized from his possession were another two (2) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated total weight of one (1) gram with Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 6,800.00; buy-bust money; and one cellular phone.

Markings and inventory of evidence were done on-site in the presence of the arrested suspect and witnessed by Prosecutor Manuel VC Vergara; Punong Barangay Jefferson Cheng of Barangay AZCKO, Baguio City; and Mr. Charles Nikko F Limon of RNG Luzon.

The arrested suspect and pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of Baguio City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) for documentation while a case for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 was filed against the suspect. ###
