SMART MOBILITY
Executives of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) and consultant ST Engineering (STE) presented to Mayor Benjamin Magalong and department heads partial results of the feasibility study it is conducting on the smart mobility and transportation system for the city last July 18.
The company has served the intention to submit an unsolicited proposal on the project under the public-private partnership scheme.
The project is in line with the city government’s plan to modernize the city’s public transportation system with the goal of making private car usage irrelevant.
At the mayor’s instance, the concept will be presented to the stakeholders for them to have an understanding of the smart mobility and transportation concepts before the PPP process takes off. – APR/Neil Ongchangco / Photos by Neil Clark Ongchangco
