Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 Welcomes New Force Commander

The Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 15 officially welcomed its newly appointed Force Commander, PLTCOL JOEY JONATHAN B BAGAYAO, during the Assumption of Office Ceremony held at the PRO CAR Log Cabin, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on July 30, 2025.

The ceremony opened with a solemn prayer led by Rev. Father (PCPT) JEZZRYL FAILAGMAO, Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Pastoral Office. It was presided over by PCOL LEDON D MONTE, Acting Deputy Regional Director for Operations, together with PCOL FROILAND B LOPEZ, Acting Chief of the Regional Staff. The event was also attended by representatives from local agencies, local leaders, and key officers and personnel of RMFB15.

One of the highlights of the program was the symbolic transfer of leadership, during which PCOL MONTE handed over the command symbol, property book, equipment inventory, memorandum of agreement, plans, and programs to the incoming Force Commander, PLTCOL BAGAYAO.

In his assumption message, PLTCOL BAGAYAO expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Force Commander and PBGEN ERICSON DIAZ DILAG, Regional Director of PRO Cordillera, for entrusting him with this significant role. He also extended his appreciation to the men and women of RMFB 15 for their continued support.

He emphasized that leadership is not a one-man job, highlighting the importance of unity, teamwork, and dedication in fulfilling their collective mandate of ensuring peace and security. He added that he is not new to the community, as he hails from Kalinga — a fact that deepens his commitment to serve with compassion and integrity.

In the message delivered by PCOL MONTE on behalf of the Regional Director, PBGEN DILAG commended the appointment of PLTCOL BAGAYAO and posed a challenge:

“As your Regional Director, I trust you — your capabilities, your integrity, and your commitment to uphold the highest standards of our noble profession. Let the guiding principles of our Chief, PNP, PGEN NICOLAS D TORRE III, serve as your compass.

Let accountability and transparency define your command. Let excellence and moral courage shape your response to every challenge. This is the kind of leadership our kakailyans deserve — and the kind that this battalion must continue to exemplify.”

Prior to his current appointment, PLTCOL BAGAYAO served with the 3rd Special Action Battalion (3SAB), PNP SAF, and as Assistant Division Chief of the Regional Logistics Research and Development Division.

With a leader who understands the culture, values, and aspirations of the Cordilleran people, RMFB15 moves forward under a command grounded in service, integrity, and genuine public trust. (RPIO/PRO CAR File Photos)
