Purple Fam Run 2026 Set in Baguio to Champion Women’s Empowerment
BAGUIO CITY — Runners and advocates are set to take part in the Purple Fam Run 2026 on March 22, 2026, a community-driven event aimed at promoting women’s empowerment, equality, and social solidarity.
Organized by Rotary District 3790 – Cluster 1C, in partnership with the Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards and PAREB Metro Baguio Realtors Board, Inc., the event carries the theme “Chase Her If You Can!” as part of the celebration of National Women’s Month.
The race will be held at Baguio City Hall, with gun starts scheduled at 4:15 a.m. for the 12-kilometer category, 4:45 a.m. for the 6K, and 4:55 a.m. for the 3K run. Participants may choose from the three race categories, with registration fees set at ₱700 for 3K, ₱900 for 6K, and ₱1,200 for 12K, inclusive of a finisher’s medal, sponsor prizes, and freebies.
Race Director Rosario V. Alberto, accredited by the Baguio City Government, will oversee the event. Organizers assured participants that water stations, medical teams, and race marshals would be deployed along the routes to ensure safety throughout the activity.
In addition to the on-site race, organizers have also opened a virtual run option, allowing participants to join from anywhere in the country between March 4 and 22, 2026. Finishers will receive an official e-certificate, medal, and race shirt upon submission of their run records.
Organizers emphasized that the event goes beyond fitness, serving as a platform to raise awareness and encourage collective action in support of women’s rights and empowerment.
“Empowering women means showing up—not only in our homes and communities, but also in shared spaces like this,” the organizers said.
Participants may register online and complete payment through designated channels, with organizers encouraging early sign-ups as part of a unified call to “run with purpose” for women’s empowerment. #
