QUEZON CITY, Feb. 28 (PIA) – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte reiterated his directive to all concerned government agencies to adopt a whole of government approach for the country’s COVID-19 vaccination program.

“As we prepare for the distribution of these vaccines, I am directing all concerned agencies to institutionalize the whole-of-government approach in its roll out. I cannot stress [this] enough: we cannot afford to waste time or resources in the distribution of these vaccines because we are dealing with precious lives,” the President said during the arrival ceremony of the Sinovac vaccine donated by the  Chinese government at the Villamor Airbase today.

He also assured the public that the government remains committed to the timely vaccine rollout with the arrival of  600,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines.

Recognizing the sacrifices of the country’s healthcare workers, the President thanked them for their valuable and selfless contribution in the fight against COVID-19, assuring them of government’s continuous support to them.

He also urged the public to get vaccinated saying that “These vaccines are backed by science and deliberated on by our experts. Filipino experts.”.
