PROCOR concludes 2022 Women’s Month Celebration
The Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) culminated the Women’s Month Celebration in a simple program coinciding with the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at Masigasig Grandstand, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on April 4, 2022.
This Women’s month celebration is anchored on the six-year recurring theme “WE make CHANGE Work for Women”.
Ms. Janet P. Armas, the Assistant Secretary for Policy and Plans and Statutory Programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development graced the program as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
Ms. Armas was received by PLTCOL PELITA TACIO, the Officer-in-charge of the Regional Explosive and Canine Unit (RECU), and was accorded with a traditional dance and Foyer Honors by the Men and Women of PROCOR.
During the program, awarding of eleven (11) deserving female police officers and a Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP) of PROCOR and Regional Support Units were presented by Ms. Armas for their notable accomplishments. She was assisted by PBGEN JOHN C CHUA, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, and the other members of the Command Group.
In her message, Ms. Janet reiterated the importance of good decision-making and the provision of opportunities for young girls and women that could lead to more empowered women across the country.
“Guided by several laws and treaties entered into by our country, the DSWD will continue to work with the PNP and other partners in this concern… let us rise from this and bring healing to other women, let us continue to reach out and bring hope by empowering them”, Ms. Armas added. (PROCOR-PIO)
