The Police Regional Office Cordillera ended the monthlong celebration of the National Women’s Month 2023 with a culmination program and awarding of PROCOR female personnel held at the Masigasig Grandstand in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on March 27, 2023.

The ceremony was hosted by PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., and was graced by the Regional Director of the Civil Service Commission-Cordillera (CSC-CAR), Ms. Nerissa B. Canguilan.

During his arrival, Dir. Canguilan was warmly welcomed and received by PLTCOL CHERRY ANN OLUCAN, Assistant Chief of the Regional Comptrollership Division (RCD), and was accorded a foyer honors ceremony and traditional welcome dance by PROCOR Cultural Dancers.

As the highlight of the ceremony, Dir. Canguilan led the presentation of awards to the seven (7) deserving PROCOR female personnel for their notable accomplishments.

In her message, Dir. Canguilan emphasized the significance of gender equality and social inclusion in applying to social work as uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police.

“May we all become change agents in driving forces in mainstreaming gender equality and social inclusion in your programs, activities, and projects and your day-to-day interaction with your internal and external stakeholders. This way and in the future we will continue to break barriers in the realization of the goals of gender equality and social inclusion,” she added.

As an expression of appreciation, PBGEN PEREDO, JR. presented a plaque of appreciation to Dir. Canguilan for gracing the occasion. (PROCOR-PIO / File photos)
