CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA- BGen Steve B Ludan, director of Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) graced the blessing of 10M worth of newly constructed City of Ilagan Police Substation located at Brgy. Lullutan here on May 4, 2022.
Along with the City Officials led by the Mayor, Hon. Josemarie L Diaz, the ceremonial unveiling of marker, ribbon cutting and turn-over of a symbolic key was also conducted.
“I really salute your mayor for his initiative in providing a facility for our police”, Ludan said noting that, unlike the other infrastructures that were built through the General Appropriations Act, PNP Thrust, and donations from private sectors, the said substation was funded solely by the city government.
“Sana masundan ito ng ibang LGUs kasi makikita po natin dito ang hangarin ng pamunuan ng isang bayan kung binibigyang halaga ang peace and order” [I hope the other LGUs will do the same because this signifies how they value peace and order], he stated.
He also congratulated the city government for achieving an insurgency-free status. “The army and the Philippine National Police have certified to the effect that indeed, Ilagan is now a city where people can invest…it is now the center of gravity of improvement and development”, he added.
The said activity was also attended by PCol. Julio R Go, acting director of Isabela Police Provincial Office and PLtCol. Benjamin D Balais, chief of police of City of Ilagan Police Station.
Meanwhile, the City of Ilagan is celebrating its 336th Founding Anniversary. Thus, part of the momentous event was the blessing .# Mae Barangan
