PRO CAR ILLUMINATES SEASON OF HOPE WITH CHRISTMAS LIGHTING CEREMONY

The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) officially welcomed the yuletide season by illuminating its regional headquarters with the symbolic lighting of a Christmas tree, lanterns, and a vibrant fireworks display on December 3, 2025.

The ceremony, spearheaded by Regional Director, PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG, served as a powerful beacon of peace, joy, and unity—the core values guiding PRO CAR’s dedicated service to the Cordillera community.

The activity commenced with a prayer and blessing delivered by Rev. Father (PCPT) JEZZRYL P FAILAGMAO, Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Pastoral Officer. This was followed by a brief narration on the origins and significance of the Christmas Lighting tradition, highlighting how the simple act of illuminating the tree serves as a reminder of hope, togetherness, and the enduring spirit of service.

The highlight of the event was the ceremonial lighting, which officially ushered in the festive season. The glowing lights symbolized PRO CAR’s commitment to upholding peace, joy, and unity throughout the region.

In his message, PBGEN DILAG emphasized the importance of compassion and dedicated public service as PRO CAR welcomes the Christmas season. He encouraged all personnel to carry the spirit of hope and generosity in their daily duties, reminding them that true service shines brightest when anchored in integrity and commitment to the community.

The warmth of the celebration was shared by many PRO CAR key officers and stakeholders, including PCOL JULIO S LIZARDO, Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration; PCOL LEDON D MONTE, Acting Deputy Regional Director for Operations; PCOL FROILAND B LOPEZ, Acting Chief Regional Staff; the Regional Staff; the Special Staff; and the Chiefs of the Regional Support Units.

Also present were Engineer Eduardo N. Meneses, Chairman of the Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation Development, members of the Officers Ladies Club, and families of personnel assigned at the PRO CAR Regional Headquarters.
