P20M worth of Marijuana eradicated, One Drug Personality arrested
The relentless anti-illegal drugs operations of PROCOR cops have resulted in the destruction of Php 20 million worth of marijuana plants in Kalinga and the arrest of one drug personality in Benguet on March 15-17,2022.
Dubbed as COPLAN MORNING STAR, the operation resulted in the discovery and destruction of Php 20,000,000.00 worth of marijuana plants in Kalinga.
Citing the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, a total of 100,000 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants were uprooted and destroyed by the joint operatives of PNP Drug Enforcement Group, Kalinga PPO, and PDEA-CAR planted in a total land area of 10,000 sqm in Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
Meanwhile, in a buy-bust operation conducted in Pico, La Trinidad, suspect Jeffrey Dulay Medina, 29, was arrested by the operatives of La Trinidad Municipal Police Station after he sold to an operative acting as a poseur buyer one (1) plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 0.16 grams with an SDP of Php 1,088.00
The inventory of the pieces of evidence was conducted onsite in presence of Prosecutor Mark Maranes and Barangay Kagawad Fernando Palitayab of Brgy. Pico, La Trinidad.
The arrested suspect and the confiscated evidence were brought to the custody of La Trinidad MPS for documentation and proper disposition.
The suspect will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PROCOR-PIO)
