Oath taking, SOCE submission dates of city’s barangay, SK officials, bared

With this year’s Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) now over, the Summer Capital’s Barangay and SK officials are required to submit their filed Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) on November 24, 2023, to the City Mayor’s Office’s Special Services Division (CMO-SSD).

SSD officer-in-charge Michelle Agbuya said this was agreed upon during the Punong Barangays meeting with Mayor Benjamin Magalong and City Hall department heads, Nov. 3, at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center.

It was also decided that the Mass Oath Taking of the city’s Barangay officials will be in the morning of November 20 while conduct of the Barangay and SK final physical inventory is on the afternoon of the same day.

She said the Barangay Newly-Elected Officials (BNEO) Training is scheduled from Nov. 21 to 25 and the SK Mandatory Training Batch 1 (SK Chairpersons only) is set on Nov. 10 followed by the SK Mass Oath Taking after the training.

Meanwhile, the SK Pederasyon Election is slated on November 15, Agbuya disclosed.

She said that a Recognition/Commendation activity for outgoing Barangay and SK officials will be held on Nov. 28 which is also the deadline of submission of SK and Barangay Inventory Form 2 to the City Accounting Office copy furnished the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) via Fleks.

The barangay and SK officials will be informed of the specific times and venues of the activities when these are finalized, Agbuya assured. – Gaby B. Keith
