National Museum of the Philippines-Marinduque is Set to Open a New Exhibition
An exhibition that will make you dive deeper into Marinduque’s marine Biodiversity
The National Museum of the Philippines (NMP)–Marinduque is pleased to announce the opening of its newest exhibition, “The Living Shores of Marinduque: Science, Heritage, and Conservation,” which will be open to the public beginning June 9, 2026. The exhibition highlights the vital role of Marinduque’s coastal and marine biodiversity in shaping the province’s rich natural and cultural heritage, while fostering a deeper appreciation of its marine resources and the need for their conservation.
The exhibition underscores the importance of responsible environmental stewardship and encourages every Marinduqueño to take an active role in safeguarding the island’s invaluable natural heritage and the appreciation of the province’s coastal biodiversity for future generations, while encouraging the appreciation of the province’s coastal biodiversity.
The exhibition features a diorama depicting Marinduque’s interconnected marine and coastal ecosystems, including coral reefs, rocky intertidal zones, seagrass beds, mangrove forests, and sandy beach habitats. Interactive learning stations and hands-on activities further enrich the visitor experience, making the exhibition accessible and engaging for audiences of all ages.
