Under KCP, TESDA CAR will be facilitating the collection and remittance of contributions of its Job Order and Contract of Service Workers (JOs/ COS) through an automatic salary deduction scheme.
JOs/COS workers are not covered under GSIS, prompting coverage of SSS for their social security protection.
For TESDA CAR, they have at least 60 JOs and COS workers. SSS encouraged TESDA employees who are former employees from the private sector to continue paying their SSS to receive 2 pensions in the future – one from GSIS, one from SSS.
The monthly contribution for self-employed members ranges from ₱760 to ₱5,280, depending on the member’s declared monthly income. This amount already includes Employees’ Compensation (EC) contributions, which range from ₱10 to ₱30. The EC Program provides additional benefits to employed and self-employed members in cases of work-related sickness, injury, or death.
Advantage/ benefit under the program: JOs and COS workers shall gain access to different SSS benefits, including sickness, maternity, disability, retirement, death, and funeral benefits, as well as loan privileges. ###
