Mines View building feasibility study asked; city parks vendors’ contracts to be reviewed

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed city council resolution no. 297, series of 2023, requesting the local finance committee (LFC) to submit to the august body a feasibility study on the use of the Mines View building after the completion of its rehabilitation.
Through resolution no. 244, series of 2023, the local legislature adopted the third supplemental annual investment program (SAIP) for the current year which includes the project, “Completion of the rehabilitation of the Mines View building”.
During the deliberation, the city council considered all the manifestations of the invited resource persons relative to the said project at Mines View barangay.
Meanwhile, the Mayor also ratified city council resolution no. 298, series of 2023, requesting the LFC and the City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) to review the submitted contract of lease for confirmation of the august body entered into by the city government with the R&R Management and Sanitary Services for the construction, renovation, lease, operation and maintenance of public comfort rooms in the Summer Capital.
The approved measure includes all the other contracts made with vendors operating in city parks and to submit recommendations to the local legislature.
During deliberations, the councilors recognize the importance of regularly reviewing contracts with service providers to ensure their adherence to the highest standards of quality, efficiency and value for money. – Gaby B. Keith
