MEETING OF GOVERNMENT INFORMATION OFFICERS

PLTCOL CAROLINA LACUATA,  the Chief of the Regional Public Information Office (RPIO), represented the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO Cordillera) during the Regional Information Officers’  Meeting conducted at the BENECO Dumol Hall, South Drive, Baguio City, in the afternoon of August 23, 2022.

One of the purposes of the activity is to reactivate the Association of Government Information Officers in the Cordillera (ASGIOCO), a group composed of information officers of different line agencies and local government units from Baguio City and the different provinces in the region.

Discussed during the meeting were the areas of cooperation between the Information Officers, the roles and activities conducted, as well as the challenges they encountered while working in the field.

Other important matters discussed were the briefing on Baguio eAssist, how it can help communicators through hands-on activities and demonstrations, the discussion on AI-powered document generation tools, and the election of new ASGIOCO officers.

The said meeting revitalized the regional communication network to further improve and strengthen public information dissemination in the Cordillera. (PRO CORDILLERA – PIO / File photos)
