Mayor Magalong graces the 31st PNP Foundation Day in PROCOR

The 31st PNP Foundation Day celebration of Police Regional Office Cordillera has become more special with the presence of Baguio City Mayor, Hon. Benjamin Magalong.

Mayor Magalong, the former Regional Director of PROCOR, was invited as Guest of Honor and Speaker of the simple ceremony held at the Masigasig Grandstand of Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on February 7, 2022.

In his message, Mayor Magalong commended all the men and women of PROCOR for their outstanding performance of their duties and responsibilities despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.

“I have no doubt at all that the PNP remains strong, unshaken, and in shared solidarity as keepers of peace and managers of orderliness in our side of our region,” Mayor Magalong said.

The Foundation Day was highlighted with a wreath-laying ceremony offered by Mayor Magalong; PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE; and Mrs. Tomasa Marquez, representative of the Family of the SAF 44 Heroes.

During the ceremony, three CTG surrenderees also formally turn over their firearms, and ammunitions of which were accepted by the Regional Director and the City Mayor. Further, PBGEN LEE offered financial assistance and grocery items to the said surrenderees.

Awarding of PROCOR Personnel who have notable accomplishments were also conducted as part of the ceremony.

Likewise, Mayor Magalong reminded all the men and women in uniform of the PNP to make humility a norm as well as to become humble public servants.

“May the eternal light of transformation illuminate the many more years of service that you will deliver. Tunay na ang lahat ay para sa bayan, para sa lahing Pilipino na ating pinagsisilbihan para sa ating mga Cordilleran, ng buong katapatan at dalisay na pagmamalasakit” Hon. Magalong added. (PROCOR-PIO)
