Mayor extols “intelligence, imagination, unity” at Baguio Smart City Convergence 2025

“Muli nating napatunayan na kapag nagsama ang talino, imahinasyon, at pagkakaisa, walang hamon ang hindi kayang tugunan.” Thus, declared Mayor Benjamin Magalong during the Baguio Smart City Convergence 2025, Nov. 26, at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center.

“Patunay dito ang mga kalahok ng Smart City Challenge, Smart Minds Quiz Bee, mga guro, mentors, startups, at lahat ng nagbahagi ng kanilang mga talento para makalikha ng mas matalino at mas matatag na siyudad,” he said.

The Mayor thanked the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Science and Technology, and other innovative partners in the event’s successful conduct.

“Patuloy tayong magtataguyod ng isang Smart, Creative, at People-Centered City—isang Baguio na may malasakit, may direksyon, at may bukas na mas maliwanag para sa lahat,” Magalong said.

The two-day (Nov. 26 and 27) activity included the top five final pitching in each of the Smart City Challenge focus areas: Environmental Innovation, Better Public Service, Economic Prosperity, and Technological Urbanization. – Gaby B. Keith
