Marinduque Cacao Fair 2025 inangat ang kalidad ng Tsokolate sa Isla, nagbigay pugay sa mga Chocolatiers, Panadero at Barista
Boac, Marinduque – Matagumpay na inangat ng Ani ng Duque Agriculture Cooperative katuwang ang Department of Trade Industry (DTI) Marinduque, Marinduque Cacao Council, at Balar Events Place ang kalidad ng cacao sampu ng iba pang komoditi sa isla kagaya ng uraro, prutas, mani, kape, kawayan at bilabila.
Ayon sa Ani ng Duque dating Sagana Agricultural Cooperative, ang layunin ng kauna-unahang Cacao Fair sa Marinduque ay higit sa lahat maitampok ang kakayahan ng lokal na cacao industry sa lalawigan at kilalanin ang ambag ng mga magsasaka, Micro Small Medium Enterprise (MSMEs), at innovators sa pag-unlad ng Philippine chocolate sector.
Nabanggit ni DTI Marinduque Provincial Director, Dr. Roniel Macatol sa kanyang talumpati, nagkaroon na ng unang World Chocolate Day sa Bahay Kakaw, Panuluyan Farmstay sa Brgy, Masalukot, Sta.Cruz, Marinduque noong Hulyo 7, 2024. Batay sa datos, mayroong 1,110 magsasaka ng cacao sa isla, binubuo ng 238 na tenant, 80 farm-workers, 792 na landowners, may 239, 302 na puno sa 2,032.153 hektaryang lupain.
“Under the leadership of our current Marinduque Cacao Council chairperson, Donna Lecaroz, we’re continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in Marinduque’s cacao industry. Her vision for a thriving cacao industry is driving us forward through the roadmap that the members themselves made and committed on, and we’re now seeing the impact of her leadership,” dagdag ng DTI Marinduque provincial director.
Hindi bababa sa 18 exhibitors mula sa iba’t ibang bayan ng isla ang lumahok noong Hulyo 21, Lunes sa Cacao fair na ang pangunahing mga produkto ay tablea, chocolate-infused pastries, cacao drinks, at mga kakaibang gamit ng cacao sa pagkain at wellness. Maliban sa food booths, tampok din ang live demos, barista challenge, at cacao product tastings na binisita ng mga lokal na mamamayan, bisita mula sa ibang probinsya, at mga youth entrepreneurs.
Sa bahagi po ng exhibitors, nagbigay ng commitment si Lorie Uy ng Balar Events Place. “itutuloy ang aming pagsuporta sa Marinduque cacao sa pagtuloy-tuloy na paggamit ng kanilang produkto.”
