Male visitor busted for trying to sneak in shabu inside Tabuk City District Jail

A male visitor will now be facing charges for Violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after he tried to sneak in suspected shabu inside the Tabuk City District Jail on September 28, 2022.
Based on the report submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR, the arrested suspect was identified as Josua Liban Bayado, 24 years old, and a resident of Brgy. Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
According to Tabuk City Police Station (CPS), they received a call from the officers of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Tabuk City after suspected contraband was intercepted in the said District Jail.
The investigation disclosed that a slipper brought by suspect Bayado to be given to a certain Gian Vincent De La Cruz, a PDL of the District Jail, was inspected by the personnel of BJMP and upon checking the said item, they discovered one (1) heat sealed plastic transparent sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.8 grams with a Standard Drug Price of Php 5,440.00.
Marking and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted onsite in the presence of the arrested suspect and witnessed by Janet Alagao and Aquino Perez, Media Representative; Marilou Cariño, DOJ Representative; and Kagawad Edwin Hidalgo of Brgy. Bulanao Centro.
Further, the suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of Tabuk CPS for documentation and proper disposition. (PROCOR-PIO / File photos)
