Kangga Festival at Pista ni San Isidro Labrador at ika-219 taong Pagkakatatag
Mogpog, Marinduque – Idinaos ang Kangga Festival 2026 nang Miyerkoles (Mayo 13) bilang bahagi ng ika-219 taong pagkakatatatag ng ng Bayan ng Mogpog, alay kay San Isidro Labrador.
Naging mas makulay at masigla ang pagdiriwang sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang aktibidad tulad ng Yubakan at Adobohan na tunay na sumasalamin sa kultura, pagkakaisa, at kasipagan ng bawat Mogpogueño. Isang pagdiriwang na puno ng saya, tradisyon, at pagmamahal sa bayang sinilangan.
Kaugnay nito ay nagkaroon din ng Takbo para kay San Isidro at Palarong Lahi noong Huwebes (Mayo 14). Ayon sa Mogpog Tourism Office, “ Mogpog will come alive with energy and tradition as the municipality hosts the much-anticipated ‘Takbo Para Kay San Isidro at Palarong Lahi.” The festivities will begin at 6:00 AM, bringing together the community in a vibrant celebration of devotion, camaraderie, and cultural pride.”
Dagdag pa nila, “The day will start with a spirited fun run dedicated to San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers. This activity symbolizes gratitude for bountiful harvests and highlights the town’s enduring faith and resilience. Participants will run not only for fitness but also for unity and thanksgiving.”
Kasunod nito ang Palaro ng Lahi, “Following the run, the excitement continues with the Palarong Lahi, a showcase of traditional Filipino games that embody teamwork, joy, and heritage. Ten dynamic teams from various agencies and organizations across Mogpog will compete in a friendly rivalry. Each game will rekindle the spirit of bayanihan, reminding everyone of the values of cooperation, perseverance, and community pride.”
Kaugnay nitom ang Mayo ay Buwan din ng Pambansang Pamana, “This event is more than just competition—it is a living testament to Mogpog’s devotion, traditions, and collective spirit. As the sun rises over the town, the laughter, cheers, and unity of its people will echo the essence of the celebration: faith, culture, and togetherness.
Nagkaroon din ng Hiyas ng Mogpog na huling isinagawa noong 2023, kagaya ng laging sinasabi, Mogpog Natin, Mahal Natin! Ang Pista ni San Isidro, Mayo 15, ay pagpapahalaga sa tradisyon, kultura, at komunidad. Ang Kangga Festival ay pagpaparangal kay San Isidro Labrador, ang patron ng bayan at mga magsasaka. #
