Implementation of search warrant yields 2 arrests in Abra

The implementation of two search warrants by Abra police on March 8, 2021 resulted to the arrest of two drug personalities in Lagangilang, Abra.

As cited from the report of PCOL CHRISTOPHER T ACOP, Provincial Director of Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO), arrested suspects were identified as Justine Calwing Flores, 28 and Sherwin Damoasan Bernal, 35, both unemployed residents of Lagangilang, Abra.

Suspect Flores was arrested following the implementation of search warrant in his residence which yielded two sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.4 grams with Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 2,720.00  and aluminum foil.

The confiscated items were inventoried on-site in the presence of Barangay Captain Arnulfo Atmosfera, Barangay Kagawad Reynaldo Balbalec and media representative Larry Passay.

On the other hand, the search implemented in the residence of suspect Bernal resulted to his arrest after one sachet of suspected shabu worth Php 1,500.00, two empty plastic sachets with suspected shabu residue and one rolled aluminum foil were discovered.

The confiscated items were inventoried onsite in the presence of Sangguniang Bayan Edna Calibuso, media representative Juanito Tamo, and Barangay Kagawad Natalia Barbero Felipe Biscarra.

Both suspects are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PROCOR PIO)
