Ifugao MPS culminates Women’s Month with outreach activity

MAYOYAO, Ifugao, March 31 (PIA) – – The Municipal Police Station (MPS) culminates the observance of the Women’s Month celebration with an outreach activity to a far flung area in this municipality.

Mayoyao MPS personnel led by acting chief of police Major Juliet Nalidong visited barangay Banao to serve the residents and further strengthen the partnership between the police and the community particularly the women.

The activity involved the conduct of lectures on women’s rights and roles in nation and family building, anti-terrorism, violence against women and children, drug awareness, municipal ordinances and curfew hours, anti-rape program and the P.A.T.R.O.L Plan 2030 of the Philippine National Police.

“This is also to prevent also the people from supporting left leaning organizations and the New Peoples Army and maintain a community that is free of crimes and drugs, violence and coronavirus 2019,” Nalidong said.  

The police officers also distributed toys, foods and face masks to the children while food packs, health kits, slippers and pre-loved clothings were given to the adults who attended the activity. They also treated the attendees with lunch funded through the contributions of MPS personnel.
