ICSTAA 2 to take place by September 17-18, Awards and Recognition for Research up for grabs

Marinduque, Philippines – The International Conference on Science, Technology, and AI Application (ICSTAA 2025) is scheduled to take place on September 17-18. Several awards and recognitions for best research papers and posters will be presented with cash prizes and plaques in both professional and student categories. 

ICSTAA also stacks an esteemed set of plenary and keynote speakers from Saigon Business School, International Islamic University Malaysia, De La Salle University (DLSU) Dasmariñas, Centro Escolar University (CEU), Siquijor State College, and the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).

Based on the ICSTAA Workbook, it positions itself as a cornerstone for fostering innovative thinking, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and addressing global challenges through the transformative power of science, technology, and artificial intelligence (AI). Hosted by the Marinduque State University, it embodies the institution’s dedication to academic leadership and societal impacts. By bringing together a diverse mix of participants from higher education institutions, industry, and policy-making bodies, ICSTAA fosters an environment conducive to exchanging ideas and nurturing partnerships.

Regarding the awards and incentives, the professional category: the best paper awardee would get 5,000php, the 2nd best paper would obtain 3,000 PHP, and the 3rd best paper would be given 1,500php. For the poster presentation, the best paper awardee will gather 3,000php, the 2nd best paper 2,000 PHP, and the 3rd best 1,000. On the other hand, for the student category, all of the best papers and posters shall be awarded a plaque. 

According to the ICSTAA workbook, the best papers in both categories will be selected based on the following criteria: problem definition and methodology 20%; theoretical/ conceptual framework 20%; results and conclusion (30%); research paper write-up 15%; and research paper oral presentation 15%. In addition, the best poster in professional and student categories will be selected based on the following criteria: visual impact and design 25%; content clarity and organization 20%; relevance and contribution to research 20%; readability and accessibility 15% and presenter engagement and communication 20%.

Dr. Tam Nguyễn, the head of Saigon Business School’s Business Management Program, would serve as the keynote speaker. Meanwhile, serving as plenary speakers: Dr. Nor Zainiyah Norita Mokhtar of the International Islamic University Malaysia’s High Immersive Programs coordinator; Dr. Johnny Ching of the DLSU Dasmariñas deputy provost for research; Dr. Pearl Ed Cuevas from the CEU School of Nursing; Dr. Ruji Medina of the Siquijor State College, and Dr. Jennifer Marie Amparo of UPLB Dean College of Human Ecology.
