Globe Brings Back Services After Opong Sweeps South Luzon, Visayas

Globe continues to assist communities affected by Typhoon Opong, focusing on the restoration of connectivity across South Luzon and Visayas. The company has mobilized its network and relief teams to support ongoing recovery.

As of the latest update, Typhoon Opong has affected 29 provinces: 14 in South Luzon and 15 across Visayas.

In South Luzon, Globe has fully restored service in Albay, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Cavite, Laguna, Marindoque, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Quezon, and Sorsogon. Recovery work continues in other provinces including Masbate with teams deployed on the ground.

In Visayas, restoration efforts have brought services back in Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Cebu, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Oriental, and Southern Leyte.

Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging and #AlagangGlobe Typhoon Response

To aid residents in hard-hit areas, Globe is preparing Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations for activation based on local needs. The first confirmed site is located at Bagumbayan, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.

To further ease the burden on affected customers, Globe has also rolled out mobile and broadband support offers in Northern Samar, Western Samar, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Biliran, Aklan, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro:

●      Globe Prepaid and TM: Free unlimited calls and texts to all networks, plus 100MB for all apps and 100MB for Facebook and Viber, valid for one day

●      Globe Postpaid and GFiber Postpaid: Extended payment due dates for affected areas

●      Globe at Home Prepaid WiFi: Free 5GB open access data for three days

●      GFiber Prepaid: Three-day promo extension for eligible users

Customers may also donate Globe Rewards points or via GCash to the Ayala Foundation-Hapag Movement through the GlobeOne app to support ongoing relief efforts.
