A 35-year-old instructor of a university in the city has been charged for alleged kidnapping and rape of a 14-year-old Grade 10 student on July 9, 2025.
An investigation conducted by the Baguio City Police Office under P Col Ruel Tagel on the complaint showed that the girl was walking on her way to school along the road beside Baguio Wright Park Fountain, Lualhati barangay, at about 8:20 a.m. of July 9, 2025 when an unknown vehicle stopped in front of her.
“Thinking that the driver might know her, the victim went near the car, the suspect grabbed the victim and covered her mouth and nose with a handkerchief that caused her to lose consciousness,” the police report said.
When she woke up at 10 a.m., she was alone in an unfamiliar room in a lodge at Bakakeng Central naked.
