City’s Covid-19 vaccine supply more than 78,000

9 March 2022 – The Summer Capital has an ample supply of 78,549 coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines as of March 7 this year according to a local health official.

This was revealed by  Health Services  Office head Dr. Rowena Galpo during the regular management committee meeting of city officials, March 8, headed by Mayor Benjamin Magalong at the Baguio Convention Center.

Of the total, she said Astra Zeneca accounted for 30,190 of the vaccines; Pfizer, 30,624; Moderna, 8,650; Sinovac, 6,319; and Gamaleya with 1,766 remaining vaccines.

As to the city’s ongoing ‘Resbakuna sa Botika’ program, a total of 823 individuals had  their vaccination jabs at Watson’s Pharmacy from January 26 to March 6 with 174 inoculated with Moderna vaccines; Sinovac, 113; and 536 had Astra Zeneca jabs.

Meanwhile, at the Mercury Bakuna Center, 786 persons were vaccinated from February 2 to March 3, with 539 jabbed with Astra Zeneca; Sinovac, 243; and four individuals inoculated with Moderna vaccine, Galpo said. – Gaby B. Keith
