City gives favorable nod to more SK barangay budgets

Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed several city council resolutions granting favorable review to four Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) barangay budgets for fiscal year 2023.

Resolution no. 203 grants favorable review to the SK barangay budget of Asin Road; resolution No. 213 for the SK barangay budget of Aurora Hill Proper; and resolution no. 214 for the SK budgets of Irisan and East Bayan Park barangays.

The three measures were approved by the august body in March, this year, and are pursuant to pertinent provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, as amended.

The local legislature’s committee on youth welfare and sports development, in separate endorsements, recommended favorable review of the mentioned SK barangay budgets.

The preliminary reviewed SK barangay budgets were earlier forwarded to the august body for its review by the City Budget Officer.

The resolutions ordered the return of the said SK barangays budgets to the City Budget Office for implementation. – Gaby B. Keith
