City commends local beauty for winning ‘Miss Charm Philippines 2024’ crown

Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan led local officials in formally presenting to Krishnah Marie E. Gravidez, city council resolution no. 320, series of 2023, commending and recognizing her for winning the title “Miss Charm Philippines 2024” and being awarded with “Best in Swimsuit” in the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 representing the Summer Capital.

The approved measure was handed-over to the beauty queen during flag-raising rites, May 29, at the City Hall grounds.    

Gravidez is from Irisan Barangay and was selected as Miss Baguio 2022 and crowned on 27 August 2022 as part of the city’s Charter Day Celebration every month of September.

The measure disclosed that as part of her privilege with the title of Miss Baguio, she joined the prestigious national pageant Miss Universe Philippines on May 13, 2023 representing the City of Baguio, bringing with her the advocacy of spreading simple kindness to  others, to the community, and eventually to the world.

During the national search, she was awarded “Best in Swimsuit” and was  crowned “Miss Charm Philippines 2024”, an international pageant that promotes  culture, tourism and educational activities, it stated.

“Krishnah Marie E. Gravidez, with such rare achievement and the privilege  to represent the Philippines to an international competition, has embodied youthful tenacity and  aspirations with steadfast discipline and dedication, a true beauty and grace amidst pressure and  challenges,” the resolution stressed.

After the ceremony, the city government spearheaded by the City Tourism Office sponsored a breakfast in her honor at a local establishment followed by a motorcade along the city’s main thoroughfares.

Gravidez dedicated her crown to the people of Baguio and thanked all those who have supported her throughout the competition. – Gaby B. Keith
