BAGUIO CITY – The third day and culmination program of the Vacation Bible Study (VBS) was successfully conducted through the initiative of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC), bringing together children ages 4 to 12 years old along with their parents and guardians for a meaningful celebration of faith, learning, and fellowship.

The activity concluded with great joy and enthusiasm as participating children received certificates, prizes, and awards in recognition of their active participation and the valuable lessons they learned throughout the three-day program.

Parents and guardians also attended the culminating activity to show their full support and proudly celebrate the children’s achievements and spiritual growth. Despite the short duration of the program, the positive impact of the lessons and values imparted to the children was clearly evident.

During the sharing session and open forum conducted after the activities, the children confidently shared their experiences and realizations from the Vacation Bible Study. Some expressed that they learned the importance of helping others, while others shared how their “Ate” and “Kuya” mentors guided and cared for them throughout the program. Several children also spoke about showing love and concern for one another, especially within their families and among siblings.

Most importantly, the children shared their understanding of God’s unconditional love and protection. They learned the importance of prayer, faith, obedience, kindness, and doing good deeds for others—values that serve as a strong foundation in becoming responsible and compassionate individuals.

One touching moment occurred as the activity came to a close and participants were preparing to go home. A child innocently asked, “Tita Kagawad, will there still be another session tomorrow?” The simple question reflected the happiness, excitement, and genuine appreciation the children felt while participating in the program.

Seeing the smiles and enthusiasm of the children brought fulfillment and inspiration to the organizers and volunteers, knowing that even through a simple community activity, they were able to provide joy, guidance, meaningful lessons, and unforgettable memories to the young participants.

The Vacation Bible Study served not only as an educational and recreational activity but also as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the children’s faith, values, relationship with God, and friendship with one another, leaving a lasting impact on both the children and their families. #
