CDRRMC on red alert for 2025 elections

The Baguio City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) will be on red alert status from May 11 to 14, 2025 for this year’s National and Local Elections (NLE).
Several offices of the city government including the Baguio City Police Office were alerted for mobilisation during the said period based on CDRRMC Memorandum No. 03, series of 2025.
The order was based on the National DRRMC Memorandum No. 50, series of 2025 “raising of red alert status at the Cordillera RDRRMC Emergency Operations Center for the 2025 NLE.”
Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, chairman of the CDRRMC, ordered the Smart City Command Center (SC3) and the Barangay DRRMCs to be prepared for response.
The BCPO was likewise directed to ensure public safety and security of the general public. Likewise, to serve as first responders in case of emergency.
Meanwhile, the City Health Services Office was ordered to ensure that all the 16 District Health Centers in the city and the Emergency Medical Service will be ready to provide medical services to the public during the mentioned dates, especially those near voting precincts.
The CDRRMO shall conduct regular monitoring and roving in voting areas and shall be ready to respond to any incident.
The City Engineering – Traffic and Transportation Management Division shall deploy manpower and towing vehicles to avoid inconveniences.
Lastly, the BDRRMCs shall activate their Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams and be ready to respond to emergencies; assist in traffic management and crowd control.The public is encouraged to call 911 directly through their mobile phones for any emergency. – JM Samidan
