CDRRMC okays evacuation camp management plan

Members of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) approved its updated Camp Coordination and Camp Management Plan on disaster response during its 4th quarter full council meeting held Nov. 25, 2025.

The plan was prepared by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) being the office in charge of evacuation management and coordination as identified in the eight committees under the CDRRMC Response Cluster protocols.

Dolores Busacay, Administrative Officer II of the CSWDO said the plain integrates essential facilities and shelter services for each of the identified evacuation centers in the city particularly at the CDRRMO Bldg in Lower Rock Quarry, Bakakeng Central Multipurpose Hall, West Quirino Hill Multipurpose Hall, East Bayan Park Aurora Hill Barangay Multipurpose Hall, and Loakan Apugan Multipurpose Hall.

The plan also includes setting up for community kitchens, health stations and implementation of health protocols, proper waste management, collection of data on the evacuee population, security and safety protocols as well as procedures for the organized closure and phase-out of the sites.

The CSWDO in coordination with the Liga ng mga Barangay and the Department of Education agreed on streamlining their response process flow in updating the plan.Busacay said the same plan was likewise submitted to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for inputs while the CDRRMC submits the approved plan to the City Council for appropriate regulatory actions. – JM Samidan
