Big time implementation of search warrants yield 14 arrests

For the past five days, as part of its intensified campaign against criminality, various operating units of the Police Regional Office Cordillera implemented different Search Warrants which resulted to 14 arrests including two Regional Top Ten Illegal Drug Personalities and a High Value individual (HVI).

According to reports of the different PPOs and Baguio CPO, a total of Php 96,289.00 worth of illegal drugs, eight firearms and 79 assorted ammunitions were confiscated during the operations.

In Benguet, a search warrant implemented at the residence of Julius A. Dalmacio (HVI), 44 years old, in Brgy. Balili, Mankayan on February 6, 2021, led to his arrest after the discovery of one sachet of suspected shabu worth Php 2,040.00, assorted drug paraphernalia and one 7.62 mm ammunition. Also, Valentine Balawo Calingaya, 38, resident of Virac, Itogon, was arrested on February 8 after a search warrant executed in his residence yielded one Caliber .45 magazine with 6 live ammunitions.

An HVI who is also listed as Top 10 Regional Drug Personality identified as Sonny Modesto Lorenzo aka “Bogart”, 33 years old, was likewise arrested on February 10 at Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet, after the search warrant implemented yielded one Cal 38 revolver loaded with four live ammos and 8 pieces heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of Php 10,200.00.

In Baguio City, operatives implemented a Search Warrant on February 6, 2021 against Michael P. De Guzman, 48 years old, listed as Regional Top Ten Illegal Drug Personality, which resulted in his arrest and that of his two companions, 18-year old Cyrille Dayto De Guzman and a 17-year old minor.  The trio were arrested at Michael De Guzman’s residence in Barangay Sto. Tomas Proper, Baguio City after 11 pieces heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated DDB value of Php 82,009.00, dried marijuana leaves, assorted drug paraphernalia and one caliber .22 pistol with four ammos were found thereat.

Also, Lardizabal Morqued Lupadit, 49, was arrested in Barangay Poliwes following the discovery of a Cal .45 pistol, one magazine and six live ammunition in his residence during the service of search warrant at his residence.

In Ifugao, Primo Chilagan, 44, and  Manuel Dulawan Ullani Jr., 42 were arrested on February 6 and 10 respectively after separate search warrants in their residence yielded one Cal. 45 pistol with four live ammunitions, one homemade shotgun with empty magazine, 17 assorted ammunitions and 25 empty shells of Cal. 45. Meanwhile, in Bokiawan, Hungduan, a search warrant against Jenjen Angiwan Ananayo, 39, led to his arrest and seizure of one cal .45 pistol, two magazines and two ammunition, and a sling bag

Further, in Bontoc, Mountain Province, a search warrant against Jomar T. Salvador at Sitio Tobtob, Bontoc Ili on February 8, 2021, yielded 11 assorted rifle and pistol ammunitions and two blank ammo for M16.

Finally, in Abra, three search warrants separately executed on February 9 and 10, led to the arrest of three individuals namely: Joel Murphy Talape aka “Dindo”, 45, Street Level Individual (SLI); Clemente Biscarra Palazon, 53 and Abra Junell Balansi Alzate, 32, and the confiscation of Php 2,040.00 worth of suspected shabu, two pistols, 24 ammos, three fired cartridges for Cal 45, two holsters, one magazine and one blue PULIS bull cap.

Arrested suspects are under the custody of the operating units pending the filing of appropriate charges against them in court. (PROCOR RPIO)
