BARANGAY GIFT SHARING

BAGUIO CITY – Mr. George Ong – Chairman, Committee on Barangay Gift-Sharing Spring Festival ExeCom 2025 led the opening remarks to introduce the guests and the purpose of the program.

An annual celebration brought to life through the efforts of the vibrant Filipino-Chinese Community, the Executive Committee, led by Mr. Peter L. Ng, Chairperson, Spring Festival, ExeCom 2025, conducted Gift-sharing Activities in Barangay Middle Quezon Hill and Proper Quezon Hill. With the assistance of barangay officials led by PB Potenciano Martinez, 100 beneficiaries were given gift packs.

With the help of the City Social Welfare & Development Officer (OSWADO) headed by Ms. Liza D. Bulayungan who identified areas to provide assistance to solo parents, senior citizens and those in need.

In a message of Chairperson Ng, “Ang City Government of Baguio at ang Baguio Filipino Chinese Community ay muling nagsama para sa taunang selebrasyon ng Lunar Chinese New Year o ang tinatawag nating Spring Festival Celebration,”

Ito ay ika-27 ng anibersaryo ng Spring Festival dito sa Lungsod ng Baguio.

The objective of this festival we are celebrating is to promote better understanding and cooperation between the Filipino and the Chinese communities and to strengthen or enhance our historical friendship, unity peace and prosperity for all of us.

Ang Chinese New Year ay para sa ating lahat, sana po ay masiyahan kayong lahat, Maraming Salamat at Kung Hei Fat Choi sa lahat,” Ng concluded

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, Councilor Jose M. Molintas and Ms. Liza Bulayungan also expressed messages of gratitude and support.

With Vice-Chairman Thomas K. Kho, Board of Advisers Mr. Jose Ong Tajan and Coordinators Mr. Roland Wong and Leng Leng Cu and also the Baguio Filipino-Cantonese Association – CAR.

And, Mr. Jeff Ng who perform as master of ceremonies.
