Baguio, first City in Asia to host KOMBAT TAEKWONDO

BAGUIO CITY –  Kombat Taekwondo in the Philippines is a professional Taekwondo league, recognized by the Professional Taekwondo Federation (PTF) as the sport’s global professional league. The Philippines was the league’s first franchise in Asia.

Kombat Taekwondo is a professional league focused on competitive Taekwondo, not just recreational or traditional forms.

The Philippines is home to the first franchise of Kombat Taekwondo in Asia, with Danrey Velo as the National President.

The event will feature top fighters from the region, including elite Singaporean fighters.

SHIN  – President, Kombat Taekwondo said, “Baguio was the first city in Asia to host KOMBAT TAEKWONDO because the weather in Baguio was amazing, the people are amazing the facility and I love the high altitude of the city, clean air is much different in Manila rather city’s in the Philippines so, Danrey C. Velo the National President, Kombat Taekwondo Philippines tap with them and decided to host the first Kombat Taekwondo in Baguio,”

The event will feature top fighters from the region, including elite Singaporean fighters.

The event will be held at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center on April 4, 2025 (Friday) will start at 6 PM.  Tickets are available and can be purchased here.
