ART INSTALLATION: 321 SHOES FOR 321 DEATH DUE TO TOBACCO.
Baguio City, (April 21, 2022) – 321 pairs of shoes, sandals and slippers were installed at Malcolm Square, Thursday morning, to commemorate the number of Filipinos who die each day because of tobacco-related diseases. A short program was held and attended by City Health Officer Dr. Rowena Galpo, Atty. Kristina Louise Magalong representing Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Atty. Sophia San Luis, Executive Director of ImagineLaw, and Councilor Joel Alangsab, principal author of the Smoke-Free Baguio Ordinance.
The Art Installation is a collaboration of ImagineLaw, a public interest law organization, and the City Government of Baguio through the Smoke-Free Baguio.
