Anti–Spasm: Mental Health Program launched for PROCOR COPS

A program that aims to monitor the mental wellness of PROCOR Cops was launched at the College of Home Economics and Technology Building, Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet on September 14, 2022.

The launching of the “Anti-SPASM” or the Anti-Suicide, Prevention, Anger and Stress Management was graced by PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO A BAZAR as the guest of honor and speaker.

“Anti-SPASM” is a program initiated by the Regional Medical and Dental Unit Cordillera under the leadership of the Chief of RMDU-Cor, PCOL JESSIEMYR N PROTACIO.

The launching ceremony was participated by 30 PNP personnel from PROCOR Regional Headquarters composed of the Chief Clerks, and members of the Station Health Units.

Present also at the occasion was the University of the Philippines-Baguio, Office of the Director for Student Services, MS. LIZA A. NGIAO who served as the guest lecturer.

Under the Anti- SPASM program of RMDU-Cor, it will address the three prevalent mental health issues in the PNP organization by mitigating the impact of police stress, effective anger management, and suicide prevention through lectures and psyche care. (PROCOR-PIO File photos)
