Another P336K marijuana plant discovered in Benguet

Following the successful marijuana eradication operation recently conducted by Benguet Cops, another Php 336,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were discovered in Bakun, Benguet on September 1, 2022.

Based on the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN MAFELINO ASPERO BAZAR, two marijuana plantation sites were discovered in Sitio Macagang and Sitio Bangao in Brgy. Kayapa of the said municipality.

In Sitio Macagang, the operatives of the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) discovered 800 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants planted in an estimated land area of 200 sqm with a standard drug price (SDP) amounting to Php 160,000.00.

Meanwhile, in Sitio Bangao, the same operatives discovered 880 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants planted in an estimated land area of 220 sqm with an SDP amounting to Php 176,000.00.

All marijuana plants were uprooted and destroyed on-site while an investigation is ongoing to identify the possible cultivators. (PROCOR-PIO File Photos)
