After 50 Years of Public Listing, Globe sees future growth with sustainability agenda

In August 2025, Globe celebrated its 50th year as a publicly listed company, ringing the bell anew at the Philippine Stock Exchange. As the company looks into the future, it emphasizes a renewed focus on nation-building and driving the country’s digital transformation. This golden milestone underscores Globe’s enduring commitment to create meaningful impact in the lives of Filipinos.
“On this occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to build a sustainable future that is digitally inclusive and respects the environment,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, Globe. “We mark this milestone with purpose and meaning to create a Globe of Good.”
To add meaning to the celebration, Globe supported two of its most valued and long-standing advocacy partners: the Ayala Foundation, Inc. (AFI) and the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF). These contributions are part of Globe of Good, the company’s overarching platform for corporate social responsibility and community-focused initiatives. Through the Globe of Good platform, partner NGOs are able to receive donations through various fundraising platforms such as Globe Rewards, GoGive, and The Hapag Movement, which can be accessed through the GlobeOne app.
Empowering Public-School Students with Digital Learning Tools

Globe’s contribution of additional tablets to the Ayala Foundation supports the participation of DepEd’s CENTEX Manila in Tondo in a pilot of CENTEX Digital Education, an initiative that aims to bridge learning gaps by combining strong teacher training with adaptive digital tools like Khan Academy. It focuses on strengthening teachers’ capacity to implement personalized, AI, data-driven, and engaging instruction inside their classrooms.
According to an independent third-party evaluation, students in various public schools have shown significant improvements in academic performance, with average math scores doubling in only 12 weeks.
Antonio Joselito G. Lambino II, President of Ayala Foundation, expressed gratitude for the collaboration. “We are honored to be part of Globe’s golden celebration. This partnership strengthens our work in using digital infrastructure to transform learning environments – helping Filipino youth succeed in a connected world.”
This contribution follows an earlier donation of 20 tablets under the company’s G-Gantic Goals campaign, which seeks to increase access to digital learning resources for underserved students. Each tablet will be preloaded with content from Globe’s Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP), promoting responsible online behavior, digital citizenship, and cybersecurity awareness.

Supporting Reforestation and Local Livelihoods in Davao de Oro

Globe is bolstering environmental conservation efforts through its support for the Planting for the Future initiative led by the Philippine Eagle Foundation. The donation will help reforest a portion of the Monkayo-Pagasa Carbon Forest in Davao de Oro by planting native and threatened tree species to restore biodiversity and combat climate change.
The initiative also empowers members of the Banlag Santol Kalikasan Workers Association (BASAKWA), a local community group engaged to carry out planting activities, ensuring that conservation efforts provide sustainable livelihood benefits as well.
Dennis J. I. Salvador, Executive Director of the Philippine Eagle Foundation, noted that Globe’s support comes at a crucial time. “It will help restore vital habitats and protect our national bird for generations to come.”
Aligned with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR) Forests for Life: 5 Million Trees by 2028 campaign, this project will also see participation from Globe employees in volunteer tree-planting activities, strengthening the company’s culture of environmental action and employee engagement.
