PRO CAR STRENGTHENS YOUTH TIES, SUPPORTS BENGUET PROVINCIAL YOUTH

The Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) reaffirmed its strong commitment to youth empowerment and community partnership during the Provincial Youth Summit 2026, organized by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) held at the PRO CAR Multi-Purpose Center, Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, on March 2, 2026.

The summit brought together key government officials, youth leaders, and community stakeholders to foster collaboration between the youth and law enforcement agencies in promoting peace and development across the province.

Gracing the event as the keynote speaker was ASEC Gervy James N. Gumarit, Commissioner Representing Luzon of the National Youth Commission. Also in attendance were Hon. Melchor D Diclas, Governor of Benguet, PBGEN JULIO S LIZARDO, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, who represented PRO CAR Regional Director PBGEN ERICSON D DILAG; PCOL LAMBERT A SUERTE, Provincial Director of Benguet PPO, alongside SK officials, students, youth leaders, and various stakeholders from across the province.

A highlight of the activity was the turnover of wheelchairs, vests, and rain boots to barangay tanods, demonstrating the collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies, local government units, and community stakeholders in strengthening grassroots security mechanisms.

In his message, PBGEN LIZARDO underscored the importance of strengthening youth participation in community development and public safety. He highlighted the vital role of the youth as active partners in nation-building and as key drivers in sustaining peace and order in the Cordillera region.
