TAAP spends Vday with a “Unhackable” webinar for “Safer Internet Day”
Manila, Philippines – In celebration of Safer Internet Day 2026 and Safer Internet Month, the Trainers and Advocates Association of the Philippines (TAAP) in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 2- Isabela Provincial Office has a webinar “Unhackable: Your Digital Stealth Guide for Safe Internet Month.
The said webinar aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge on digital safety, cybersecurity awareness, and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. It is designed for professionals, students, and individuals who want to stay informed, protected, and empowered online.
“We encourage all TAAP members and interested participants to attend and take part in this timely and relevant discussion. Let us work together toward smarter technology use and safer digital choices,” according to the TAAP official socmed account.
The Unhackable webinar began with a welcome remark from the TAAP founding chairperson Dr. Luhren Cortes. Although the keynote speaker, DICT for Infrastructure Management and Regional Director in Cagayan Valley Region II, Asec. Engr. Pinky Tumalian was ably represented by Engr. Magdalena Gomez. Then Sir Cirilo Gazzingan Jr shared DICT’s digital mandate. Then the resource person, Sir Mark Portabes engaged some 50 participants with the digital stealth guide for navigating the internet.
For the closing remarks, TAAP President Dr. Mary Ann Dumlao underscored the previous and succeeding webinars for professional trainers and advocates. The webinar was smoothly facilitated by the host and TAAP secretary Ms. Eiffelene Salvador Howard. The next event for TAAP is the 3rd Research Conference that is going to take place by February 28, still in time for safer internet month. #
