The Summer Capital was recognized as one of the winners of the prestigious Tehran Golden Adobe Global Awards at the Tehran Urban Summit 2025 held Nov. 27 to 29 at Iran’s capital.

The Summit comprised a series of specialized events and strategic meetings, bringing together mayors, senior municipal officials, representatives of international organizations, and prominent figures in urban development.

CPDSO head Donna Tabangin said the awards ceremony, graced by Tehran’s Mayor, international diplomats, and urban development leaders from across the globe, honored 15 outstanding projects across five categories: architecture, livability, infrastructure, smart cities, and urban economy.

Baguio joined an elite group of winners that included Iranian cities – Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, Shiraz, and Qazvin as well as Dubai (UAE) and Kazan (Russia), she added.

“The activity also featured the presentation of the 7th General Assembly statement of the Asian Mayors Forum, the announcement of Asian capitals for Culture (Dushanbe), Tourism (Baghdad), and Environment (Gaza and Dubai), and the official transfer of the AMF presidency to Tehran,” Tabangin disclosed. – Gaby B.
