Payment of cedula, other fees will be in your barangays beginning Jan. 2; assessment of real property, business permit goes online

The City Treasury Office issued an advisory that payment of Community Tax Certificate (CTC) or cedula and other fees will be in the barangays beginning January 2, 2024 in an aim to bring government services closer to the community.

To save time and cut long queues at the One-Stop-Shop in City Hall, Baguio residents will be paying their Cedula in their respective barangays including Professional Tax Receipt; payment for Police Clearance both for local and abroad; payment for Working Permit; and, residential garbage fees.

For business owners however, the Cedula shall be secured at City Hall as the same shall be paid together with the corresponding Business Permit.

“It is respectfully requested from those who shall be securing their Cedula from their respective barangays to be responsible enough to declare their true gross receipts for year 2023 as the basis for payment. We shall employ all efforts/actions against those who will be found to have intentionally misdeclared their gross receipts,” City Treasurer Alex Cabarrubias said in the advisory.

For the Real Property Tax, bill/statement is now available online via the Baguio In My Pocket (BIMP) application at www.baguioinmypocket.ph. Payees must register first to the BIMP application and follow the detailed instructions on how to request for Real Property Tax assessment.

Meanwhile, assessment for 2024 business permit renewal will be online starting January 2, 2024 thru the BIMP application.

Alternatively, business permit assessment and real property tax assessments may be downloaded from the eBPLS Portal at www.ebpls.baguio.gov.ph

“These bills/statements and assessment may also be paid online via the BIMP Application,” Cabarrubias said.

Business tax assessment and real property tax statement shall no longer be issued at City Hall since assessment fees will be secured mandatory online beginning January 2, 2024.

“Only those that have issues, hence cannot be secured online (or appear as No Record Found), shall be entertained at the Treasury Office,” the advisory reads.

“If assessment request is returned with a No Record Found message, a screenshot must be taken as proof to be shown at the Assessment Area of the City Treasury before they can be entertained,” the advisory furthered.

To avoid crowding at the City Hall One-Stop-Shop, assessment and payment of business permit shall be strictly in accordance with the following schedule by family or corporate name starting: January – A to H; February – I to P; and, March 20 – Q to Z and those that start with numeric or special characters.

Cabarrubias reminds the public to be mindful of their schedule to renew their business permit as those not following the instructions will not be entertained.

For tagged permit, for whatever reason, shall be allowed to pay to avoid penalty but permit will not be released until untagged.

Additionally, contractors with bidding scheduled for January, February or March, but are not scheduled to renew for said month shall be entertained during the bidding month, provided they show the Invitation to Bid which they intend to join.

Cabarrubias said long lines are already being experienced at the City Hall One-Stop-Shop thus online mode of assessment and payment is being encouraged this early.

Other modes of payment are through inter-bank deposit or transfer through Landbank Account No. 0222-0015-95 and Account Name: City Government of Baguio. After depositing/transferring payments, take a picture of the deposit slip or screenshot transfer confirmation and send to email: cto.baguio@gmail.com including the details of the property or business being paid.
