3 drug personalities were arrested, P54.4K worth of Shabu seized

The intensified effort of PROCOR against illegal drugs resulted in the arrest of three (3) drug personalities, all listed as Regional Top Ten Illegal Drug Personality (RTTDIP), in separate operations in Kalinga and Baguio City on August 27, 2021.

Based on reports submitted to PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, Regional Director, the arrested suspects were identified as Rodante Diaz Lopez aka “Odan”, 40; Joy Batore Agustin, 34; and Carlo Buliyat Cruz aka “Amiel Karl Buliyat Cruz”, 35.

In Lower Magsaysay, Baguio City, joint operatives of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), RIU-14, and  RID PROCOR arrested Agustin after she sold to an operative acting as poseur buyer one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less (MOL) two (2) grams with a market value amounting to Php 13,600 pesos.

In Military Cut-off, Baguio City, Lopez was arrested by joint operatives of RID/RSOG and BCPO after he sold to an operative posted as poseur buyer four (4) pcs heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a total weight of MOL 1 gram having Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 6,800.00.

Meanwhile in Tabuk City, Kalinga, joint personnel of Kalinga PPO and RMFB-15 implemented a search warrant issued by Judge Jerson E. Angog which led to the arrest of Cruz.

During the implementation of the search warrant, operating units confiscated from the suspect’s possession five (5) pieces of a transparent heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing MOL 5 grams with SDP amounting to Php 34,000 .00.

Onsite markings and inventory of the pieces of evidence were conducted while the arrested suspects were brought to their respective arresting units for proper documentation prior to the filing of cases for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against them.
