The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) confirms that the fire incident which occurred at the DPWH Regional Office in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) this afternoon has been successfully extinguished and the site is now fully secured.

Initial assessment by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) indicates that the affected area was limited to approximately two square meters of the office. No DPWH employee was injured in the said incident.

The Department is currently working in close coordination with the BFP and the Local Government of Baguio City to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into the cause of the incident.
